This is a professional caseworker position responsible for providing intake and assessment services for persons seeking publicly funded mental health services, determining the person’s eligibility for such services and the person’s priority for services, for developing service plans, for making appropriate referrals, and requesting authorizations for services and for providing necessary advocacy to assure that persons receive necessary services. The employee may also provide occasional and situational supportive counseling on a limited basis to persons on their caseload, their families, or significant others.
