Transport deceased individuals from the scene of death to the morgue or designated medical facility under the direction of Coroner/Deputy Coroner. Maintain accurate records and logs related to transport activities. Coordinates with Coroner/Deputy Coroner, law enforcement and other agencies during the body retrieval process. Provides respectful and sensitive handling of deceased individuals. Work is performed in internal and external environments occasionally with exposure to inclement weather for extended periods of time; it has heavy physical demands; is at times, performed under stressful/emotional conditions.
